Leaving thoughtful comments on blogsites can get you some great backlinks. Especially for blogs that have threads discussing your keywords. It costs you no cash, your backlinks come from sites with keyword relevancy, and they are spread across the entire Net.
That's great, if you could do it, you could get good backlinks and really improve search engine placement! But how do you find blogs with relevant threads? How do you find blogs with enough page rank (PR) to get crawled regularly by the search engines? And how do you find blogs that are not using nofollow tags on your posts?
The people at G-Lock Software seem to have developed their Fast Blog Finder to solve those exact problems. I got mine a couple of days ago and it really works well! You type in your relevant key word phrase and the Blog Finder goes out on the Net and finds blogs with your keywords in them! In seconds!
Furthermore, it not only gives you the page rank of the domain, but it also gives you the PR of the page your KW phrase is on! At the same time it gives you the number of outbound links and classifies them as nofollow, dofollow and unknown. These are color-coded with unknown white, nofollow light red and dofollow light green.
You can see in a moment which blogs are worth check backlinks and improve search engine placement.
With Blog Finder you let IT scan the blogosphere sector of the Net and go exactly to the relevant, most important blogs (based on PR) that have dofollow outgoing links. You don't waste time searching and can really get mileage and coverage out of your time.
Before I was making maybe 2 postings per hour, with some of those being a stretch as to relevancy. With the Blog Finder I can make 6-8 highly relevant, on-target postings per hour of surfing. You only go where you already know the action is! And only look at high PR blogs with dofollow outgoing links.
At this rate I will have to throttle back on KW for some of my sites to keep from getting too many backlinks at once and getting my sites in the Google sandbox! I know, I know; its no real problem. Just budget a half-hour per day per website and it should be O.K. But my point is that Blog Finder makes it not only possible to get backlinks from blogs, but it changes the economics of the whole exercise.
It provides the mechanism that makes it economically attractive to go after free backlinks from high PR blogs. My only complaint is the high number of blogs with ratings of "unknown". That is the majority of the blogs. It's a pity that they get away. Still, you can't get them all, and there are more than enough green ones to keep you busy!
Great software! Powerful tool for webmasters who want to get more relevant backlinks and improve search engine placement. I highly recommend it. Get a free trial copy and try it out. Maybe you'll like it as much as I do...
