The 7 Best Ways to Build Quality Backlinks to Your Website

Creating good backlinks to your website will help to generate traffic, increase rankings in the search engines for your site, and provide you with, what is the most important factor of them all, more subscriptions to your newsletters and mailing lists which in turn equate to many more sales. But, what exactly are backlinks and how do they actually work?

Check Backlink

Backlinks are quite often described as votes for your site. If it helps, you can compare it as being similar to how American Idol works, the more votes a contestant gets, the better it is for them and the more they continue to get will meen that they eventually have the chance to win. The same applies to your websites, the more people that like your website, the more popular it becomes and the more beneficial to searchers it is deemed by the search engies who will rank your site higher because of this.

However, there is something that you need to know, not every link will get you the results that you want; therefore, it is crucial that you go about creating the best backlinks possible, these are generally from locations that are in the same niche as your site and that carry 'authority' in the eyes of the search engines.

If you create a link on a site that has nothing to do with your niche then you will not generate the levels of traffic that would be possible if it was on a topic related site; because it is very unlikely that a person visiting a fashion blog will not be interested in your mechanic site; therefore it is vital that you create backlinks where they are most beneficial.

Building good, quality backlinks does not happen overnight and there are no shortcuts when building links. When you start building backlinks, you need to know that it should be in the form of a campaign and that there are seven essential things that you should know when building good backlinks for your site.

Here are the Top 7 essential things to know that will eventually lead to owning a successful site:

The most important thing that will separate your website from all the others is it's content. You should ensure that your content is good and of the best quality, and most importantly...it needs to be UNIQUE, in other words, it is not to be found anywhere else on the web. It should be grammatically correct and free from spelling and typing errors. High quality content will, in time, generate high quality links. After you are sure that the content on your site is as close to perfection as you would like, then you should start engaging in article marketing. Your articles should have an attention grabbing headline and the body of the article should expand on the headline. A good idea for articles for marketing can be tips, clearing up myths, or giving solutions to particular problems. Do not sell in the article and only talk about your site in the resource box. These articles can then be submitted to Ezine article and other article directories for use in other publications. The best way for you to generate backlinks to your site is to get these backlinks from some major directories such DMOZ.org, Yahoo Business directories, and Business.com. Backlinks from these directories will quickly generate traffic to your site and boost your rankings. You have the option of joining some of these sites for free but you can also choose to make a payment for quicker inclusion and this will generate backlinks, and traffic, much quicker. You should also use specialized directories that are related to the niche that you are in; subscribe to local directories like Google places and Bing local. Create internal linking from articles on your website. Encourage readers to read more articles, this will boost the ranking of your site and for each of your posts as well. Social marketing has become very popular over the past few years and they can generate popularity for your site as well. Use social networks such as Twitter, Youtube, and Facebook to announce anything new on your site... and finally, Become a guest writer on blogs in the same niche. If you write good content on other popular blogs people will come to check backlinks for your site, you need to do it consistently.

What Are "Nofollow" and "Dofollow" Links in SEO?

Again we are going to talk about backlink, the most common topic and hottest topic webmasters and bloggers discuss in SEO (search engine optimization) world. Today you will see, what are the types of backlinks and what kind of backlinks will benefit you and what not.

Check Backlink

There are two types of backlinks:

Do-Follow and, No-Follow.

The main confusion between these two types is the value of the backlink. I have always heard on blogs and webmaster forums about the benefits of dofollow and nofollow backlinks, I did some research my self using Google's webmasters tools and Google analytics and finally I am here with my own opinion and link building strategies.

What is link juice?

It is discussed on seo forums and webmaster discussion boards that Google uses link juice kind of algorithm to calculate the Google PageRank and serp (search engine result pages) ranking. For example, suppose one page have Google PR 5 and it links to two other pages with dofollow links hence it is assumed that the value of PR 5 will be equally divided and delivered to both the linked pages. It means, more backlink on single high pr page will reduce benefit per backlink.

It is always believed that only dofollow backlinks delivers link juice to your site and no follow do not do it. Another confusion is that Google webmaster's tools will show you combine number of backlinks including both dofollow and nofollow. While Google link query by searching as "Link:yourpage" will give you a lot different result than Google webmaster tools. You will always see variations in number of backlinks from different seo tools.

Finally what I understand and recommend about dofollow and nofollow backlinks is in the name it self. It's only about following the link by Google bots from one page to other page. Means a dofollow link will make Google robot to follow the link and index the page and nofollow link will restrict your page from being linked.

According to me, Dofollow backlinks is more important but, nofollow links must not be underestimated. Backlinks are not only for Google pr (Note that the PR is only the figure assigned by Google to your site, it has no relation with traffic and profit you get from your site) it also very useful to grab referral traffic.

For example, nofollow backlink from high traffic forum and blog comments might not be much useful to help you improve your PR, but may be very profitable to get high quality referral traffic. So it's upon you, what kind of backlinks do you want to build, both have their own importance.

The Benefits of Using a Website Backlink and Other Advertising Strategies For Your Online Business

Advertising businesses/Internet marketing represents the main approach to the promotion of a big or small business on the electronic market. Investors hire advertisers and promote professionals to create the best techniques (like employing a website backlink, backlinks tool, selling websites) in supporting a service. Depending on the business situation, the promoting elements have a standard core and a collection of factors that change from one case to another. With this kind of marketing, what counts is the mixed use of these variables for the potency of a project. In here, you will find something that targets a quick and general outline of website promotion and advertisement.

Check Backlink

Before, advertising relied heavily on price, but now, it principally emphasizes the product's benefit to the customer. With any average online marketing techniques, the advantages of the customer and quality features remain the primary focus. Marketers, in majority, follow a trend : the prospects need to believe that their own interests are served well. The clients become the supervisor, and they're the ones that rule the web developer's approach on the market. The advertising of this image actually helps and works quite well for business expansion.

Another principle that makes the difference not only for advertising business Internet marketing but also for the reputation of a company is what we regularly call "company integrity". A fair business that follows the guidelines of moral conduct will appeal to the patron more than some obscure affair. The message such a company sends is really clear : we do not make money at your cost alone, we do care for how it's possible for you to benefit from our product or service.

Remember that greediness never explains for any sort of profit, and it never takes any one too far. When a company is right-minded and moral, transparency will characterize almost all of its actions. This openness has little by little converted into a factor for this kind of marketing, particularly since so many web users try and avoid fake activities and swindles. Clients keep returning to an enterprise that promotes their product by clean and honest means (like employing a website backlink, backlinks tool, for example). This is how commitment schemes come into the world and how firms attempt to build their campaigns around them.

Finding Expired Domains With Backlinks

One of the easiest ways to find expired domains with traffic is to look for backlinks. If a domain was developed and incoming links were put into place each one has the potential to bring in visitors. The search engines have made in harder to find those backlinks but it is still possible using a few tricks.

Check Backlink

Using Google

Previously you could do a Google search for "link:domainname.com" and get a list of incoming links. Although this still works it is unreliable. Even long time established website will have very few results using this operator. If you must use Google try searching for the domain name itself in quotes. This will show you all the instances of the domain name but you can narrow that down by clicking on a few results. An advantage of using this method is you will see unlinked but still listed references on message boards, forums, etc.

Using Yahoo

Since Google decided to change the way the list backlinks Yahoo has become the gold standard for finding them. You can still do a Yahoo search for "site:domainname.com" and get a list of the incoming links. You can even specify to include or exclude links from the domain name. Keep in mind Yahoo will limit your queries and if you attempt to bulk search they will temporarily ban you. Filter your domain list first to only the names you are most interested in and then search Yahoo manually.

Other Search Engines

Bing/MSN until recently was a good source for finding backlinks. However, as of this writing they have begun showing the same results as Yahoo making it unnecessary. AltaVista is another Yahoo product with similar restrictions. Your good choices are basically either Google or Yahoo.

Paid Tools

There are services available that will gather the results from multiple search engines for a fee. While these will save you some time it is generally not necessary with all the free tools available. If you must use a paid service make sure it has updated results. There are some companies that have cached the results from prior searches and therefore may not offer updated information.

The days of bulk searching for incoming links are over unless you want to hide behind proxies which is not advised. The best method is to filter your domain list to only those you are most interested in. Once you have a short list take the time to do a manually search on Yahoo for linked results and Google for forum mentions. Although you will probably not get an exact list it will give you a good idea of what is out there.

Micro Niche Finder Vs Market Samurai

There are two popular keyword researching tools in the internet marketing community today. The first being Micro Niche Finder, and the second one being Market Samurai. A lot of people aren't sure which one is "better," or which one they should get. Neither are particularly cheap, however, both are very promising if they do what they say they do - which, trust me, they do.

Check Backlink

I own a copy of both, so I can accurately give you a detailed review of both of them.

Both Market Samurai and Micro Niche Finder research how many searches per month your keyword gets, and the strength of competition. However, the way they do it is very different. With Market Samurai, you have to specifically say what you do want, and what you do not want with the keywords you're looking up. However, Micro Niche Finder tends to find niche keywords almost exclusively(though, it doesn't leave out bigger keywords if that's what you happen to be looking for).

Both Market Samurai and niche finder will assess the competition strength of the keyword you're researching, however, with Market Samurai, you have to go to another module within the program to look at the competition strength. You'll be getting a fully detailed explanation of the keyword's competition and how hard it will be to rank. You're given what the top ten pages are that rank for that keyword, how many backlinks those pages have(as well as how many back links the entire site gets, too).

With micro-niche finder, you see the competition strength at right hand side, and it'll be put in a number. The lower the number is, the easier it will be for you to rank for this keyword.

Market Samurai also has a module for you to check the ranking of your webpage(and the competition's web page as well) for whatever keyword you type into the module(it can also check the ranking for several keywords at the same time).

These are the main differences, along with the price. Micro Niche Finder is , while Market Samurai is 0.

All in all, they're very similar programs, however, Micro Niche Finder is more well designed for starting new websites and making a more immediate profit, while Market Samurai isn't quite so designed for that purpose. It can be used to scout out micro niche keywords, but it also can be used to check the ranking of your website if it's not a micro niche website.

Neither is particularly better than the other, as they're both amazing programs. It's really what you want and need the program to do. For my niche websites(I have dozens, by the way), I always use M niche finder. For my two big websites, I tend to use Market Samurai. That's just how I like to do it, and I happen to know people who are not particularly fond of Market Samurai at all. It's all up to the individual.

DoFellow - High PR DoFollow Backlinks

Spending time adding comments to blogs can be a great method to increase traffic and get high PR backlinks fast but it can also be a major time sinkhole. Sure, the high PR backlinks can boost your rankings and give you some direct traffic but how much time and effort was spent getting those?

Check Backlink

Finally, there is a solution to get the prized high PR Dofollow backlinks, traffic, and the ability to search and find quality blogs to post to in very little time. DoFellow is an incredibly easy tool that will save you hours every week. Spend a few minutes a day doing some blog comments rather than spending hours of your time just searching for them.

DoFellow will search out blogs with your niche and will identify which are "dofollow" and what the page rank is. If you only want PR3 and above you can filter it and get them. I have found many PR4 and PR5 blogs with DoFellow and it will even get you some PR6's as well! An immediate boost in organic search rankings can typically be seen from high PR blog comments and when you post within your relevant niche you will also get some direct traffic from your comments.

Blog commenting is a great strategy to add diversity to your backlinking. Just don't invest yourself too heavily in it because the blog owner could eventually delete the post for even switch the links to nofollow. The other drawback to banking too much on blog commenting is the fact that other savy internet marketers will eventually find these little gems and also leave comments.

The more links on page the more diluted each backlink becomes and the less overall value it will add. I would still recommend spending 15 minutes a day getting a couple high PR blog backlinks for the immediate SEO boost so you can make money today while slowly building backlinks more permanently with a long term solution like article directory submissions and some good RSS submission strategies.

Keep a diverse backlink portfolio and you will make it to the top of the rankings and increase website traffic significantly. check backlinking strategies to increase search engine traffic.

How Do I Get My Website Posted on a Search Engine? - An Introduction to SEO

The current economic climate has changed many human goals and dreams. Many years ago our greatest dream was to own our own home, the focus now is for long-term financial security. People are disillusioned with working like slaves, struggling to make ends meet while company CEO's and shareholders reap the benefits of their hard work. Many people are turning to the internet as an additional or alternative source of income which they can pursue from the comfort of their own home by providing products and services to a worldwide market. A common question for those who create their own website is, 'How do I get my website posted on a search engine?'

Check Backlink

The fact is that the majority of websites listed in search engines have never been manually submitted. Rather, they have been found by search engines.

So how do search engines find new websites. There are two main ways that new websites are found. Firstly, there are many sites that search engines regularly search for new content. Major search engines love sites that are regularly updated with new content like blogger and WordPress. They also love article repositories like EzineArticles, and social media sites like digg, technorati and stumbleupon. These sites are indexed daily, sometimes several times per day. But if your site is privately hosted then you need to do something to point the search engines towards your website, which leads us to the second way that search engines find websites. The second way that search engines find websites is through external links to the site (ie. backlinks). When a search engine is aware of a site it regularly sends data collection robots to the site to check backlinks on related sites - The reason I suggest creating backlinks on related websites is because those links count toward Google pagerank. While having a Google pagerank doesn't improve your position in search results it will improve the reputation of your website which means that visitors will view it in a more favourable light. Many webmasters find they receive a dramatic increase in orders after attaining a Google pagerank. A brilliant tool for finding related websites where you can leave comments and backlinks is found at http://www.webconfs.com/backlink-builder.php Just enter your keywords and the tool will find related sites. Submit the site to online bookmarking services such as technorati, digg, stumbleupon or delicious. There are even tools that you can add to your site that will allow your visitors to do this for you. My personal favorite is found at http://www.addthis.com Of course, the more your visitors categorize and bookmark your site the more quality backlinks you will receive.

However, having your site indexed by search engines is only the first step in receiving traffic. Statistically speaking, only about 10% of searchers go beyond the first two pages of search results so if your listing happens to be on page 3 then very few searchers will ever find it. This is where SEO or search engine optimization becomes a factor. While many people new to internet marketing feel somewhat daunted by this term, there are actually many relatively simple ways that will improve your position in search results to where they will be noticed by searchers.

Article Marketing Vs PPC Marketing - The Heavyweight Bout

It's Article Marketing vs. PPC marketing, article marketing being a heavyweight in free traffic (aside from SEO and Social Media) while PPC marketing is a heavyweight in paid traffic (others being banner ads and PR campaigns).

Check Backlink

If you have only one choice, which one is better to choose? Keep reading and find out.

1) Cost

There's nothing really to compare between free and paid right? Wrong. Articles may be free but it costs more time to create and publish.

It's definitely worth to think about the trade-off between writing an article and just paying for immediate traffic.

However, you can always outsource articles - which essentially makes article marketing paid.

Tie marks on this one.

2) Pre-sell

Article marketing is essentially a pre-sell. You gain the trust and favor of your audience by giving quality information.

On the other hand, PPC marketing is an ad. We know how people respond to ads.

People like to buy stuff, they just don't want to be sold to.

Articles take the edge on this one.

3) Backlink Source

Articles have been, and always will be great backlink sources. If at the very worse your article sends you no traffic, at least you would have a backlink source for SEO purposes.

On the other hand, PPC marketing is a hit-or-miss affair. Once people click, you pay, and if that visitor doesn't buy a product or subscribe to your newsletter, then that's a loss for you that you can't get back.

Articles have the upper hand here.

4) Speed

PPC marketing can bring you traffic the moment you put them up. They are even easier to set up than any other traffic generation technique out there.

Articles have to go through research, writing, submission, and finally approval before they can give you any type of results.

PPC wins on this account.

With 2-2 on the scorecard, it's really a tie. It's apples and oranges. The best marketing method for you really depends on your needs and your resources.

The guarantee is that both works, so you really can't go wrong with either one.

TribePro Review - What Is All The Fuss About?

Chances are good you've heard about the backlink building buzz about TribePro... and you demand the insiders scoop from a blogger already on the inside... exactly what all the fuss is about.

Check Backlink

So is TribePro the real deal or is it just another Google ranking gimmick being shamelessly promoted by the soulless snake-oil selling ClickBank guru's?

Well... if you have followed my stuff for any length of time, you know I don't promote the typical trash you find infiltrating your inbox. Yep, that type of worthless time sucking stuff will never find it was on this blog, and you can quote me.

The truth is this tribe is the best way I have discovered to build rock solid Google friendly backlinks, business building relationships, and quickly getting massive waves of traffic to your blog.

The only question remains... is TribePro right for you... and that's what todays post is all about...

Ready to get started?

What is TribePro?

TribePro is a content syndication network that allows you to post your content inside multiple tribes for mass syndication to the top social media/bookmarking hot spots, by all the members inside the network. Engineered from the ground up based upon the tribe principle (give first, get last).

This content syndication tribe is making serious head waves inside an industry known for shady back-door deals, gurus who don't deliver, and push-button magic traffic traps engineered by marketers without morals.

So How Does TribePro Work?

TribePro currently has 84 tribes inside the network and operates on the reciprocity principle. You first submit other tribe members content until you have built up enough points to submit your own stuff. You earn 1.0 share point for each of the first 4 locations you share to, then 0.25 share points for any location after that.

You can either submit content by manually selecting social media icons inside a tribe or using their API powered OnlyWire account. OnlyWire enables you to auto-syndicate content up to 42 different social media and bookmarking services.

Auto-Submit Your Content

What separates TribePro from other content syndication tribes is the ability to auto-submit your content via your blogs RSS feed. Once you hit the publish button on your blog, your content is automatically posted into all of the tribes you join as long as you have built up enough share points.

Auto-Syndicate Your Content

This feature allows you to build up your share points on virtual auto-pilot. Once you are inside a tribe you can auto-syndicate other members content. Which means as soon as you post content, the system automatically syndicates your content to all the locations selected by the people who auto-syndicate your stuff.

Are you started to see the power here?

Even better, when you auto-syndicate other people content, your followers (in typical tribe-like fashion) are likely to return the favor. If they don't reciprocate you can always cancel it with a click to stop syndicating their stuff.

Create Your Own Tribes

Joining at the Pro membership level allows you to create your own tribe, brand yourself as an industry leader, post your own training videos, and even build your list with an Aweber or GetResponse account. This is the main selling point around the pro membership level. If you don't care about building a list of other triber's or branding yourself with your own tribe, I would stick with the Plus membership option.

Free Members

As a free member of TribePro you can't access the more powerful features of the network. You are required to share 15 pieces of content first before you can submit your own stuff into the tribes. Which means you can't use the auto-submit, auto-syndicate, or the OnlyWire service until you upgrade.

Plus Members

At the Plus level, it only takes 10 share points to post your content. Even better, you have access to the full arsenal of backlink building tools with exception of creating your own tribe.

Pro Members

At the Pro level you get access to all the other benefits of the Plus membership has to offer, plus have the option to create your tribe, the ability to build your own list, and a couple of other cool features you can see for yourself on the sales page.

To Wrap Up This Review

TribePro is a powerful way to get thousands of backlinks to your blog within minutes, once you have built up a following inside the tribe. But getting your content spread around the net is only one part of why TribePro is a no-brainer business decision. The most valuable aspect of this content syndication network is the relationships you build inside the tribe.

TribePro has attracted some of the most well know names inside the blogging, networking, and online marketing game. The only question remains is how soon you will be soaking up the steady flow of insider knowledge, backlinks, and priceless business building relationships that can only be obtained from the inside.

Increasing Page Rank - Top Strategies for Increasing Page Rank

It's well known in the internet marketing world that increasing page rank can be very helpful for your positioning with the search engines. This proves to Google and other search engines that your site provides valuable content. If you're looking to get more quality visitors to your site, it makes sense to do everything you can to increase your page rank. By using the strategies we'll be outlining below, you'll be able to boost your site's position in the search engines and get more traffic.

Check Backlink

One of the first tips that you can start applying that will help in increasing page rank is to participate in relevant forums. When you participate in a forum within your niche, always put your site's link in the signature box. Usually you'll find that most high traffic forums have a good ranking, which is exactly why you should be putting your effort into it. It's a great way to make your site more credible in your niche and it will also get you lots of great backlinks that will help with increasing page rank. However, make sure that you're avoiding all those forums that don't have much traffic. Only target those forums with high ranking. It's all about quality, not quantity. Plus, when you forum market in this manner, you will drive more traffic to your site straight from the link in your signature.

You can also start increasing page rank by writing guest blogs. There are many high page ranked blogs, of which you can take advantage to comment and gain a backlink.

Some of these blogs will allow you to post original articles on them as a guest blogger, and here you can have a resource box with a link in it. This will help you in two important ways, first of all you'll be gaining a high quality backlink and secondly, you'll be able to get direct traffic from the readers of that blog. This is helpful to the blog, as you're providing content in their niche, and also to you, as this can increase your page rank and bring you traffic.

Lastly, the time it takes your site to load is very important because if your site is properly optimized and loads fast, the search engines will see your site as more relevant and this will help in increasing page rank. If you're running a blog, try to use a fast loading theme that's light. Make sure that plugins that aren't being used are switched off because they slow the loading time of your blog. Because the main factor is quality, search engines appreciate fast loading blogs.

By using the above techniques regularly, you'll find that you will be increasing page rank and getting more traffic. There are many webmasters that don't really focus on growing their page rank, but that will only limit your traffic options. Getting relevant traffic from the search engines will do more than anything else to help your business grow.

What is Backlinking?

Backlinking is the process of creating links to your website. Each link means that someone is trying to inform others about some interesting page he has found. Therefore, the number of links is a measure of popularity or reputation of the page. The number and quality on backlinks is the basis of the PageRank algorithm used by Google web search. Google is by far the most popular and widely used search engine. The main reason for this popularity is the fact that it returns relevant results for every possible search phrase. Because of this many webmasters are trying to get as many backlinks as possible.

Check Backlink

You can get backlinks on blogs, forums, Web 2.0 sites, website directories, articles or websites of other users. The easiest way to get a backlink is to have some useful content on the website and other users will find it and create a link to your page. This is called natural linking. Other methods mean using blogs and forums where you can participate in discussions and with some caution you can also promote your website. Most forums provide a feature called user signature. This is a short text where you can describe yourself or list your websites. Most blogs also provide place with every post where you can put url of your website. There is only one rule that needs to be respected. Never spam blogs or forums. Be useful and contribute to the discussion. Try to answer some question or offer help to other users. This way it will be much easier to promote your website.

There are two types of backlinks. Some are labeled with the "nofollow" attribute, others don't have it. This attribute tells Google and some other search engines not to follow this link and such links also do not contribute to the PageRank of the target page. You will find that most links on blogs are nofollow. The best approach is to ignore fact this and simply create backlinks wherever there is an opportunity.

Another important property of every link is the PageRank of the page where the link is located. The higher the PageRank the more the link is worth. This means that you should invest some time to find pages with high PageRank where you can promote your website and create backlinks.

There are many different backlinking strategies. Some internet marketers only use blogs and forums, other use article marketing exclusively. The best approach is to try all of them and then decide which method is best for you.

3 Way Links - Will They Increase Your Pagerank?

Link activity is the number one factor that the search engines focus on when determining your pagerank. Don't worry if you don't know what this means, just read below.

Check Backlink

Inbound links are simply links that point in to your site.

Outbound links are the sites you link to from your site.

Internal links point to other pages within your site, from any part of your own site.

Reciprocal linking is a basic link swap. This is when you like someone's site and they like yours, so you agree to swap links. They are not as valuable as one way inbound links.

Google looks at the number of outbound links you have from your website and compares this to how many inbound links are pointing in towards your site. If you have many more outbound links, than inbound it can have a negative effect on your page rank, meaning less traffic and less sales for you.

Some people focus all their energy on getting one way links through directories and articles, but this can take a lot of time and the sites aren't always related to your niche (Google prefers it when they are). There is another way and it is far more effective. It is called Three Way Linking and literally catapulted one of my unknown sites to the top of the search engines, which in turn helped me to get out of debt. Three way linking is an ingenious strategy and can work in many different niches. It has already worked wonders for a lot of people.

So how does Three Way Linking work?

As you know, normally when setting up a reciprocal link to a site, you link site A to site B and vice versa, whilst this is no bad thing, Google much prefers one way links and will reward your site with a higher page rank if you have these one way links coming in. Three way linking uses three different sites from one niche. Site A links to Site B, Site B links to site C and site C links back to site A.

This means that the links are of very high quality, as each site has one unique link pointing towards them.

In conclusion, this technique is much more helpful and effective, than spending ages chasing down reciprocal links. You don't even have to find three way links manually, as there is software that can do it all for you. Basically once you have spent 5 minutes setting it up, you can set it and forget it. When you check back you will see an increase in page rank, traffic and sales.

How to Write a Great Post - Successful Blogging

When someone starts a blog, be it on WordPress, Blogger, TypePad or any other type, they mostly want to share information. Nowadays, starting a blog is as easy as A,B,C, literally; A - Visiting the blogging site, like WordPress, Blogger B - Signing up and C - Selecting your blog name/title. After creating your blog, you now want to start creating posts. A post is basically the information you wish share with your readers, many bloggers also like to add in images and videos.

Check Backlink

Put Yourself in the Reader's Shoes

This article will look at the secrets of writing great posts for your blog. As I always say, behind every successful blogger is good content, repeatedly written. As an introduction to great blog post writing, here's an everyday tip;put yourself in the reader's shoes. Think of yourself as a member of your target audience. Then ask yourself," what would I want to read?" If you write exactly that, you can never go wrong. I'd love to say that this is my first tip, but that won't do the point justice. Let us call it the Golden Rule of Great Blogging - Put Yourself in the Reader's Shoes.

1. Original Content

While all these tips are important, if I were to say there is one of more importance, it is this: Write original posts. I would not really call it illegal, but in the world of blog, duplicating content is as close to the dark side as you can get. That does not mean that you can not write something from another blog in your post; maybe share with your readers something you read somewhere. To share someone's content, you can just ask the writer of the content. When posting something from another site, make sure you name the writer and link back to their blog, both to be polite and to appreciate the source. Don't copy everything, you can quote a section and give your opinion.

When I say duplicating content is as close to illegal as you can get, am not kidding. Search engines (hint:Google), will sooner or later find where you got your content and that you copy-pasted it onto a post. What Google does is really simple, they just take their magic eraser and remove your post from the top of their SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages). How will they know that I was the one that copied and not the other way round? They will, trust me. It's not worth loosing your blog reputation for.

2. Brand your Blog; Choose a Genre/Topic

It really is not a must for you to write about a single topic, but it sure does help. Not only does it help the reader to know what to expect from you, it also helps search engine and content related sites and other bloggers in categorizing your content in there links. Most importantly, it can make you a sort-of expert at a that topic. You can even choose a genre you are not yet awesome at and grow in expertise as you posts more and more material. Over time, when a reader thinks about a certain topic, it is your blog that pops into their minds.

3. Make it Interactive: Through What You Write

In every single decent post ever written, readers that have read the whole post have had a thought or two about it. Try to think about the last time you read through a blog post and what you immediately thought about after reading it. You may have thought "the most enjoyable read ever" or "okay, well that was a waste of my 4 minutes" or "wow, I didn't know this" but just didn't feel like typing down a comment. Now imagine that that was your blog, and that all those reactions just went unnoticed.

When writing your post, try to be controversial, to a point. Try to make the reader think "I must respond to this", just don't overdo it. Remember: the reader can always just close the tab. After giving the reader something to react to (it can even be an excellently written post), make sure there is a simple way for them to respond. Nowadays there are many easy to use commenting systems for blogs, make sure you select a good one. You can even put a simple Like button below the post.

4. Not too Short, Not too Long - Just Enough

Some bloggers write way too little information and others just overdo it. Personally, I sometimes get carried away in a line of thought and end up writing more of an article than a blog post. This can, at times, really bore your readers and at other times it is exactly what the reader wants. If you are writing a review, it's better to write too much information but when sharing a tip, the reader mostly wants you to get to the point. Remember what you are writing about and the Golden Rule of Great Blogging: Put Yourself in the Reader's Shoes.

5. Grammar

This is basically common sense, but am just saying it anyway. Make sure your posts are grammatically correct. A well written post not only gains the respect and favor of the reader, but also makes the blog SEO-friendly (check backlinks: This is one of the best ways to improve your PageRank (a good thing). Backlinks are links that from other websites that point to your blog. There are a lot of ways of getting backlinks, including buying or cheating. You do not have to resort to that. There are many other cool ways to get awesome backlinks and I am going to share some. The first and greatest is EzineArticles; this is the best and fastest way to get a respected backlink to your blog. Just write an article and add a link back to your blog. Like this article has a link, at the bottom, back to my site. Another way of getting backlinks is joining StumbleUpon, Digg, basically the whole lot of bookmarking sites, and after every post, bookmarking it in all of them. You can also post comments to other blogs and just be lucky enough to get one with do-follow comments. Another way of getting quality backlinks is through writing a guest post. Just find a big blog you like, similar to yours and email for a chance to guest-write. Then just like in EzineArticles, backlink back to your site. Using Appropriate Heading tags: In many blogs, a lot of people write about important topics in a single post but forget to show the search engine what is important and what is really just another sentence. Google about , or tags on the blog platform you are using and how you can efficiently use them to show relevant parts of your post. These are mostly SEO tips for when writing a post. When it comes to Search Engine Optimization, you are are good are you are updated. Regularly check for new SEO tips and tricks, but remember to keep it honest.Read further about blogging and blogging tools on my blog, and you can also check out Matt Cutts' blog for SEO tips directly from Google. Matt Cutts is an awesome Google guy (works there) whose posts can help you separate SEO fact from fiction.

Digital Camera Flash Units

Digital cameras flash units come in many shapes and sizes. Low end digital cameras include low energy built in flash units. High end digital SLR cameras can support sophisticated external flash units which can provide superior lighting in difficult scenarios. Here are some basic facts about flash units both built in and external.

Check Backlink

Flash units came a long way since their early days. Back then flash units were using powder that was lit by electrical current and literally "blew up" to produce the light energy. Using these flash units was a risky business. It was also difficult as the flash units were not automatically synchronized to the camera's shutter. The photographer had to make sure that the flash goes off at the exact right time synchronized with the shooting of the photo.

Nowadays flash units are sophisticated technology devices. They use an electronic flash tube that is automatically synchronized to the camera. The photographer merely needs to do nothing. New digital cameras can decide on their own if the flash is needed, they can set its intensity and other parameters and they can fire the flash at the exact right time when the shutter is opened. All this is done automatically in the background. Digital camera also provide the user with the ability to manually control the flash, force it to either fire or not to fire, set its intensity and more.

Flash units are divided into two categories: Internal built-in flash units or external flash units. Internal flash units are built into the camera. Almost all digital cameras include such a unit and allow the user some control over it through the camera's menus and buttons. External flash units are attached to the camera's body through a dedicated slide-in slot or by using an electrical cable. Not all digital cameras support external flash units. Usually the lower end pocket cameras do not allow external flash units while all high end digital SLR cameras do allow such external flash units. External flash units can vary a lot. They can have different light energy levels that they can emit and different mechanical characteristics. Some external flash units also include smart sensors to measure ambient light, distance and other optical parameters in order to optimize the flash effect.

Digital cameras can use their flash units in automatic or in manual mode. In automatic mode the camera measures ambient light and fires the flash when not enough ambient light is available. Sometimes the camera will make the wrong decision as to using the flash and will either fire or not fire the flash when the opposite was needed. Setting the flash intensity is important too. If the flash unit fires too much light energy on objects that are too close to the camera the digital photo will be washed out. On the other hand if the flash unit fires a small amount of light energy on an object that is farther away from the digital camera the digital photo will be a too dark.

Flash units have limitations too. They can not light any scene and any object at any distance from the camera. It is important to know your flash unit limitations. For example check what the maximum light energy that it can emit is and what the farthest that an object can be effectively lit from. This is also known as the effective flash range. If the object is out of the effective flash range it is actually better to turn off the flash altogether and use a tripod with a longer exposure. Sometimes it is useful to use the flash even if there is enough ambient light. In such cases you can manually force the camera to fire the flash. This is also known as fill-in flash as it is usually used to fill-in shadowed areas on objects in the digital photo.

Many bloggers struggle to know how to create backlinks to their blogs to boost their search engine rankings. Some bloggers make this appear to be easy for them. Most, however, do not ever succeed, despite the fact that they try quite hard to generate the much-needed links. So, what's the main difference here? What are the differences which means that a few will succeed while others fail? Which are the secrets to finding yourself in the group that will likely enjoy success?

Check Backlink

Success depends on getting a good plan together to build quality backlinks. When you have a plan, knowing how you will get these inbound links, it is not difficult. So, are you truly serious about learning how to create backlinks to your blog? Then you will want to educate yourself about which methods are effective and why they will be important, first.

Here are 5 steps to consider to greatly enhance your likelihood of succeeding at creating killer backlinks that will bring you a flood of traffic from the search engines:

1. Write and Submit Articles. Most people write articles, not just to provide information, but solely to create backlinks to their website! Now the first place you should submit your article to is EzineArticles. This is the most authoritative article directory that the search engines love. After your article is approved and live, you can submit your article to other article directories. These are sites that Google and other search engines consider authoritative. Getting a backlink from one or more of these sites is like receiving a "vote" from each of them. The more "votes" or links pointing to your site from such authoritative sites, the more important and relevant your web page will appear, increasing your chances of landing on the first page of search results for your desired keywords.

2. Use Social Media. This really is important since social media sites like Facebook and Twitter are also highly favored by search engines. Sharing your blog post links on these sites create additional backlinks from these authority sites. Post your content in as many Facebook groups as possible without getting banned by Facebook as soon as it is published to create these backlinks before your web page gets indexed by the search engines. Additionally, since a lot of people hang around on social media sites these days, sharing your blog posts in several groups will get a lot of eyeballs looking at your content.

3. Comment On Others' Blogs. Here's the reason for this, if the blog you comment on is a "Do Follow" site that will link back to your blog, search engine robots will follow your link back to your site, creating a backlink. Another reason why it is a good idea is that by stating something invaluable and insightful in the comments section of some high ranking blogs, you will start getting the attention of a lot of people and drive more traffic to your blog.

4. Leave Trackbacks and Pingbacks on Authoritative Blogs and Allow Trackbacks/Pingbacks on Your Own Blog. When used properly, trackbacks and pingbacks are an excellent way to build links and traffic to your blog. It is similar to "status tagging" on Facebook in that you can "mention" another website on your post and when you publish your post, the other website will be notified of your inclusion. Hopefully, by "paying it forward" on other blogs, it will encourage blog owners to return the favor and provide each other a two-way link. One more reason? They are great ways to build relationships with other bloggers.

5. Join a Tribe. This is a fast way to spread your content everywhere with the help of many and to generate TONS of backlinks quickly when tribe members share/like/vote on your posts on social bookmarking sites and high traffic sites like Better Networker. Tribe members also syndicate your content for you among their readers and increase traffic to your blog as a result.

For the very best results in creating backlinks to your blog and increasing your chances of landing on the first page of Google, start implementing the five tips above. Shooting Photos in Aperture Priority Mode

Digital cameras support many photo shooting modes - from automatic point and shoot to manual where the camera does nothing for you. One of those modes is Aperture Priority. Aperture priority is useful in many situations and deserves a short explanation of what it is and how to use it.

Check Backlink

You set the Aperture priority mode by using the camera menus on its LCD in which case you need to browse and choose Aperture priority from the menus or by rotating a modes dial in which case you choose Aperture priority by its symbolic icon (in most cases Aperture priority is symbolized by a capital 'A').

In Aperture priority mode you manually set the aperture value. The camera takes care of everything else - for example it sets the optimal shutter speed for the aperture you chose. There are physical limitations and not every aperture value that you choose can be matched by other settings that will result in a good photo. The camera will let you know by flashing a green LED or in some other way (check its manual for more details) if it found the optimal settings that work with your chosen aperture value.

So why bother setting the aperture value manually when you can have the camera set it for you? One good reason is to control the depth of field. Depth of field is defined as the range in which the photo is in focus. For example an infinite depth of field means that the photo is in focus from a certain distance from the camera and up to infinity. A narrow (also known as shallow) depth of field on the other hand means that the photo is in focus only from a certain distance from the camera to another distance which is not further away (or in other words the photo is in focus just around a certain object that is being photographed). The rest of the objects in the photo are out of focus appearing as blurred objects.

The wider the aperture value (the f number decreases) the narrower (shallower) the depth of field and vice versa: the narrower the aperture value (the f number increases) the deeper the depth of field. Just remember that the depth of field changes along with the f number: when the f number increases the depth of field increases and vice versa. A common use for manually controlling the aperture value and achieving a narrow depth of field is when taking portrait photos and trying to blur the background behind of the portrait object.

As always the best way to understand what you can do with different aperture settings is to experiment. In this way you will get a feeling of what aperture values translate to what depth of field. It is important to understand though that the depth of field depends not only on the aperture value but also on the object distance from the camera and the lenses that are used. With digital camera experimenting is free and immediate as there is no film development cost and you can review your photos instantaneously.
